Food Security

Background: According to the World Health Organization, health problems related to dietary excess are an ever increasing threat in many countries, with malnutrition being a double burden. To feed the world's growing population, global food production must be increased by 70% before 2050.

Program Scope: MBi will work with partner organizations to strengthen the capacity of rural communities to ensure food security and equip small - scale farmers to increase productivity and sustain their livelihoods. Our Food Security program will also support interventions and implement public awareness campaigns on good nutrition and malnourishment issues to improve nutritional practices and address the underlying causes of hunger and malnutrition in some of society's neediest families and communities.
